T-Boz’s Medical Diagnosis Revealed After TLC Show Cancellation
TLC Fans attending the New York State Fair on Friday (August 23) did not get the show they were expecting from T-Boz and Chilli. The artists canceled their performance after Boz, real name Tionne Watkinsreceived a serious medical diagnosis.

A press release stated that T-Boz had to undergo immediate medical treatment for a stomach blockage. Unfortunately, that means she won’t be able to take the stage with Chilli at Suburban Park in Syracuse. Additionally, the group will not be performing at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut.

According to a press release, TLC’s two canceled shows come after they had a “vibrant” show in Toledo, Ohio, on Thursday (August 23). The artists were reportedly excited to perform at the state fair, but after arriving there, T-Boz began experiencing “sudden and severe nausea, vomiting, and severe abdominal pain.” A doctor “immediately” saw Watkins and eventually diagnosed her with abdominal obstruction. As of Friday, T-Boz was still receiving medical treatment at the hospital. However, she is expected to be discharged on Saturday (August 24).
“The doctor determined that this was not food poisoning but an abdominal obstruction,” the statement said, clarifying an announcement at the state fair that claimed T-Boz had food poisoning. according to WGRZ.
“Tionne deeply regrets having to cancel these performances and sincerely apologizes to all her fans and event organizers. The decision to cancel was made on the advice of her doctor, who requested that she remain in hospital overnight for a CT scan to assess the severity of her condition.”
Additionally, the statement assured TLC fans that it has plans to reschedule canceled shows. Since Friday, Tionne Watkins has been active on her Instagram Stories, reposting press releases and other user-generated content. However, she did not elaborate on what the release shared.
