TCA Awards 2024: See all the winners
It’s been five years since the Television Critics Association announced its winners. of the annual TCA Awards live: the pandemic means the 2020 and 2021 events are all online and What is WGA? And SAG strike last year means the 2023 award is published in a press release. But in 2024, the event returned for its 40th year, with the ceremony held on Friday, July 12 at the Langham Huntington in Pasadena.
The nominees for this year’s TCA Awards were announced almost a month ago, on June 10. There are high hopes for nominees like Bear (which has won four nominations) And Ripley (one of five candidates). But both went home empty-handed.
Instead, it was GeneralThe Night of. A group of 250 television critics named the Limited FX Series Show of the Year and also won Outstanding Achievement in Drama and Outstanding New Show. Cast Anna SawaiWho plays Lady Mariko in the showalso won the TCA Individual Achievement in Drama Award (open to all genders).
Meanwhile, of Netflix Baby reindeer won Outstanding Achievement in a Movie, Miniseries or Television Special, while of HBO Tips won the top award in the comedy category. Star Smart Jeans also won the Individual Achievement in Comedy award.
Even though controversy swirl around It, Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Children’s TV won top honors in the Outstanding Achievement in News and Information category, and John Mulaney beat industry veterans including John Oliver And Jimmy Kimmel to win the Outstanding Achievement in Variety, Talk or Sketch Show crown for Everyone is in LA.
Finally, the critics awarded The Traitors with its Top Reality title, Which doctor? won in the Family Programming category and Blue topped the Children’s Program. The full list of nominees and winners is below.
