The General Assembly approves the United Nations budget of 3.72 billion USD for 2025

In a separate action, the General Assembly adopted the resolution Action program for landlocked developing countries for the decade 2024-2034to address the unique challenges faced by countries without direct access to the high seas.
Landlocked developing countries (LLDCs) face significant barriers to trade and development, are dependent on transit countries, leading to higher trade costs, delays and reduced ability to competitiveness in the global market.
The Action Program identifies five priorities: promoting sustainable economic growth through innovation and structural transformation, enhancing regional trade integration, improving transport connectivity, building resilience climate and ensure effective implementation of strategies.
The new framework is built on Vienna Action Program (2014-2024) and Almaty Action Program (2003), laid the foundation for addressing the persistent obstacles plaguing LLDCs.
