The Gurren Lagann VS Kill la Kill exhibition will launch in July 2024
Studio Activator has revealed that it will help Aniplex organize a series of crossover exhibitions featuring Lagann Gurren And Killing is killing. The official name is “Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann WITH Killing is killing Exhibition,” it will be held at 4 o’clock Parco department stores across Japan throughout the second half of 2024. The first event will appear in Ikebukuro, Tokyo in July 2024.
These exhibitions will not only display artwork from both anime titles but also sell exclusive merchandise. There will also be a voice-over of the instructions Lagann Gurrenby Kamina and Killing is killingby Ryuko. Voice actors Katsuyuki Konishi and Ami Koshimizu will provide new voices based on their respective characters.
Those wishing to attend the exhibition will have to pay 1,800 yen (~$11.40) for admission. An exception will apply to elementary school students and young children, who can enter for free. However, they must be accompanied by an elderly guardian and must purchase a paid ticket.
Below is the full schedule for the exhibitions:
- Ikebukuro Parco Factory – July 12-29, 2024
- Nagoya Parco Square – August 3-12, 2024
- Parco Fukuoka Factory – from September 20, 2024 to October 6, 2024
- Sapporo Parco Space7 – December 6-15, 2024
This combination was possible because Aniplex was involved in the production of both titles. Trigger is the anime studio that made it Killing is killing. Meanwhile, Lagann Gurren manufactured by Gainax, the company was included bankrupt as recently as June 2024.
