The kayaker who faked his death is believed to have fled to Europe

US police have urged a missing man to return home for Christmas with his family.

Ryan Borgwardt went missing in Wisconsin in August, prompting a search for him.

But he has since sent a video showing him alive in November. He did not say where he was but police think he is in Eastern Europe.
