The Lunar Remastered Collection brings the classic JRPG series to the conversion this April

Classic JRPG fans rejoice. the Lunar Remastered Collection is coming to Nintendo Switch April 18, 2025. Plus, it’s been confirmed that the collection will see a physical release.

Launched digitally on eShop for $49.99 USD / €49.99 EUR — with physical releases priced at $54.99 USD (on Amazon.com) and €54.99 EUR (at Clear River Games), Lunar Remastered Collection improves on two of the beloved turn-based RPGs best since the 90s.

The first two Lunar games in this package were first released on the Sega CD as Moon: Silver Star And February: Eternal bluebut the Collection is based on their PlayStation re-releases — Lunar: The Silver Star Story Completed And Lunar 2: Complete eternal blue.

The Remastered Collection updates these two fan-favorite games with new language options (French and German), new combat strategy settings to help streamline combat, a speed-up function and the ability to switch between classic and remastered images.

Lunar is made by GAME ARTS, the studio also responsible Grandia series, this is the first time Eternal Blue is officially playable in Europe.

The series has appeared on Nintendo consoles before – Lunar: The Silver Star had a GBA “retelling” called Lunar Legend in 2002. And, the less said about the DS game Lunar: Dragon Song, the more Good.

Anyway, let’s end on a high note – we have two beautiful new illustrations by artist Toshiyuki Kubooka to accompany the remastered collection, which includes the cast of both games. This will be the reversible cover for the physical releases. And they’re quite beautiful
