The moment a journalist and cameraman were attacked by masked people in Georgia

A journalist and TV cameraman were attacked by masked men while covering pro-EU protests in Georgia.

Reporter Maka Chikhladze, of the pro-opposition TV channel Pirveli, was violently thrown to the ground, while cameraman Giorgi Shetsiruli was kicked in the head on a side street in the capital Tbilisi.

They are covering the 10th night of mass pro-EU protests taking place in several cities. The protests were in response to Georgia’s increasingly authoritarian government suspending its EU accession process.
