The new Hideaki Anno Gundunda anime is GQuuuuuuX

Khara and Sunrise announced Mobile Suit GQuuuuuXThis will be a completely new product Gundam animated series. Hideaki Anno’s Evangelical Neon Genesis fame is one of the people working on the storyboard for the new movie Gundam show.

The trailer begins with main character Amate Yuzuriha describing and showing life in the colony. She then learned from war refugee Nyaan what Clan Battle was. These were illegal duels in which pilots faced each other in their fighter planes. She participates in these Guild Battles under the name “Machu” until one day, she meets a mysterious pilot named Shuji. Shuji is being chased by the authorities. Alike Witches come from Mercurythis new one Gundam The film will have a female protagonist.

Here is the cast of the main characters:

• Amateur Yuzuriha: Tomoyo Kurosawa (Sothis in Fire symbol: Three houses)
• Nyaan: Yui Ishikawa (2B in NieR Automata)
• Shuji Ito: Shimba Tsuchiya (Toshio in Hatred 3)

As mentioned before, Hideaki Anno is working on this issue Gundam storyboard. Other key staff members include director Kazuya Tsurumaki (FLCL), script supervisor Yoji Enokido (Bungo the Stray Dog) and mechanical designer Ikuto Yamashita (Evangelical Neon Genesis). Illustrator Take, who previously designed for Pokemon Sun & Moon, Fate/Great OrderAnd Katanagatari is the character designer.

Mobile Suit GQuuuuuX is in production process. A re-edited version of the first few episodes will appear in Japanese theaters under the title Mobile Suit Gun GQuuuuuuX – Getting Started – on January 17, 2025. More information about international releases will be available in the future.
