‘The Thing: Remastered’ On Switch is still MIA in Europe, Nightdive is “waiting on Nintendo”
Studio Nightdive Problem: Remastered launches in North America on December 5, giving Switch gamers in that territory a chance to (re)acquaint themselves with the shooter based on Computer Artwork’s hit squad from 2002. However, the The European release has been delayed for weeks, and it still hasn’t appeared on eShops in the eastern Atlantic.
The developer and publisher of the remaster took to social media with an updatepoints out that the game – based of course on John Carpenter’s 1982 film – has been sent to Nintendo of Europe and the team is just waiting for it to appear. Presumably, it’s somewhere in Nintendo’s holiday backlog, so it looks like it’ll be a 2025 release centered around the following:

What’s surprising is that the possibility of the game actually appearing on European eShops disguised as something completely different has never occurred to anyone. (Okay, now we’re imagining how awesome it would be if you downloaded another game and it turned out to be The Thing.
