According to WESHThelus has been charged with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder. However, the outlet notes that she is currently in the hospital recovering from her injuries.

According to the source, the incident occurred on August 26. At that time, 7-Eleven surveillance cameras recorded Thelus entering a location, allegedly carrying a clear plastic bottle.
Furthermore, a store employee observed Thelus as she attempted to fill the tank with gasoline. A few hours ago, Thelus was said to have left his 2-year-old son with his father. However, the child was later returned to her because the father allegedly requested a DNA test be performed on the child.
After leaving the 7-Eleven with gasoline, Thelus allegedly returned to the house and doused himself and his children with the substance. Then she lit a fire.
According to WESHThelus’ infant son reportedly died in October after suffering burns over 80% of his body. Furthermore, her 2-year-old child is said to have survived the incident.
When asked why she did it, Thelus told a friend it was because of “too much humiliation.”
