This AI Trick in Gmail Saves Time Reading Emails — Here’s How It Works
Gmail AI Trick: If your job involves going through a lot of email If you do it every day, you know how time-consuming it can be. Sometimes, emails may not be of any value, or they may be too long and contain a lot of unnecessary information. But at the end of the day, if your job requires it, then there is no choice but to go through them all. I do the same with my job, as I need to go through many emails containing promotional articles, review requests, etc. For this, Gmail’s latest Summary feature provided by Gemini can prove to be quite useful.
I have been using this feature for a few days now and it helps me quickly filter my inbox to find important information. Here I will show you how to use this feature Gemini Features and what it can do.
Gmail Features Summary: How to Use It
Step 1: Open Gmail and open the email you want to summarize.
Step 2: Next, if the email qualifies for a summary, you’ll see a Summary of this email button below the email title.
Step 3: Click it to quickly generate an email summary.
That’s it! You’ll get a brief summary of the email you received.

How is it useful?
Sometimes the subject of an email alone isn’t enough to judge; in this case, having a short summary of about 30-50 words will help you understand what the email is asking you to do. However, I’ve also found that this feature sometimes misses the mark and produces a summary that isn’t helpful at all. So I’d recommend using this feature only if the email isn’t extremely important, but not for important emails. You should still go through every word of those important emails to avoid problems in your professional or personal life.
