According to profile released by the United States Federal Election Commission on Tuesday night, Elon Muskfounder of SpaceX and owner of X, currently one of the largest donor to Donald Trump’s election campaign. Musk has been one of many elite people in Silicon Valley who have expressed their support for Trump. But Musk has invested more money in Trump’s campaign than almost any other individual in the tech industry. While some Silicon Valley companies and organizations, like venture firm Andreessen Horowitz, have endorsed Trump, individual donors from those same companies may not. For example, Marc Andreessen and business partner Ben Horowitz each donated $2.5 million for Trump Rights for America PAC last quarter. Andreessen has also donated to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee; Horowitz was supportive Democracy campaigns as well, and in early October said he would support Harris over Trump in the future.

Kenneth Howerya PayPal Mafia member and former ambassador to Sweden under Trump, invested $1 million in America PAC in addition to smaller direct contributions to Trump’s campaign.
Musk has contributed more to Trump’s campaign than all of them combined. That puts him in league with Trump the most lavish sponsorincluding Miriam Adelson, widow of Sheldon Adelson, who donated 95 million USD to the Trump-supporting America Conservation PAC over the past three months — including $45 million in September alone. Billionaire Timothy Mellon, heir to the Mellon railroad fortune, remains the campaign’s largest donor, spent the least $115 million in Make America Great Again PAC just this year.
Musk’s generosity, combined with his strong support for Trump on platforms he controls, has is a blessing for Trump in an increasingly tight presidential race. He will continue his efforts to get out the vote in person this weekend with a series of appearances in Pennsylvania.
