This monster wants to eat me Volume 2 is a dramatic manga by Yuri
This monster wants to eat me can recall Summer Hikaru is dead. After all, both manga series involve young people facing potential romantic relationships with extremely dangerous and supernatural beings. in first episode In this yuri manga, we face an adorable threat. Now stay episode 2The possibility of lethal relationships increases as we learn more about the people around Hinako.
Editor’s Note: There will be some minor spoilers about the events leading up to the climax of volume 2 of the series. This monster eats me comic below.
This monster wants to eat me episode 2 starts pretty much immediately when first batch of surviving yuri manga. Hinako and Shiori are dealing with the aftermath of an attack by smaller monsters. They return to the festival they were attending, with Shiori commenting that it’s okay if they have blood. Because it was monster blood, surely no one would pay attention to it.
Except someone does.
It’s a perfect way to start the latest mystery of “Hey, who else might not be a normal individual or even human.” Given that the series confirms that there are monsters in the world, they are most likely unfriendly, and that Hinako is extremely attractive to them, it stands to reason that it won’t just be the bloodthirsty mermaid Shiori who has to deal with it. This is the first of many loose threads that begin to build and stretch throughout the chapters here, bearing fruit.
What’s interesting is that the second episode of This monster wants to eat me The manga sets up the next reveal and possible yuri relationship in such a way that the reader may initially be unsure how it will play out. Mangaka Sai Naekawa leaves behind these petty doubts. Is Shiori just showing jealousy and characteristics of a toxic partner by investigating the person Hinako is close to? Is this her still trying to actually protect her out of concern for her meals? Are there any other harmful factors surrounding Hinako?
I also enjoy that given the direction these latest chapters take, Naekawa also addresses a potential flaw. Throughout the first episode, we learned that Hinako’s blood is especially delicious and attractive to monsters and unwanted entities. We even saw multiple attack attempts in the first episode. So… why hasn’t anything happened so far? What’s going on? But as we gradually move through this story and learn more about Hinako’s life and the person Shiori is investigating, things actually start to make satisfying sense.
There was definitely an “ah ha” moment. But what’s also great is that it’s not diminished by any immediate revelations. We have time to digest this. We can see Hinako react to it. We also get to see a bit of other people’s reactions to Shiori and this situation. In doing so, I also have some hope that Naekawa may be setting up a love triangle in this yuri manga. Not everything comes out at once, although we are starting to get more answers. No, those are being saved for further development, which I appreciate.
I’m excited to see what happens next when it comes to character development and yuri relationships in the next volume of the series. This monster wants to eat me comic. Because now we know there are a lot of people around Hinako who care about her. We are not sure about everyone’s intentions. We don’t know who we can trust. We’re not even sure how many of the people she’ll be joining will even be human. While this episode deals with more answers and world-building, it’s still useful in helping set things up.
Volume 2 of This monster wants to eat me currently available and Yen Bao will release the manga’s third volume on January 21, 2025.
