Jhene Aiko And Big Sean are undeniably one of the most beloved couples and collaborators in music. Fans have been hoping for them to get together since their 2016 album, ‘Twenty88.’ Well, everyone’s wishes came true when the couple cemented their status by welcoming their first child in November 2022.

Before confirming the birth of their child, the Detroit rapper and the Los Angeles-born singer had been in an on-again, off-again relationship. Recently, a viral clip from Jhené’s concert in Los Angeles on July 31 seemed to hint that she might want to take their relationship one step further.

June 2015: Sean & Jhené collaborate in the music video ‘I Know’

Roommates, it looks like the ‘I Know’ music video may have sparked a romance between Jhené and Sean. EVERYBODY It was reported that the couple called their relationship a friendship at the time.

But it seems there’s more to it than that as the duo play two elderly lovers enjoying a special night together at a nursing home. ‘I Know’ appears on Big Sean’s sophomore album, ‘Dark Sky Paradise.’

2016: Jhené Aiko & Sean release ‘Twenty88’

After collaborating on songs for their personal projects, Big Sean and Aiko decided to team up for their EP, ‘Twenty88.’ Their album took the world by storm and is still talked about in music discussions to this day!

Their sexy album cover has fans speculating about their relationship status. However, When the record was released, Aiko was married to the producer. Dot da Genius. Newsweek confirmed that Jhené was married to Dot da Genius from 2014 to 2016 before filing for divorce.

Roomies, this is where things started to heat up, and fans were getting closer to wanting to know about their relationship! During their joint performance at the Power 106 Powerhouse Festival, Sean wrapped his arm around Jhené’s waist and ended the performance with a kiss, sparking dating rumors.

September 2017: Jhené Aiko confirms her feelings for Big Sean

In 2017, Jhené discussed her relationship with Big Sean for the first time in an exclusive interview with BillboardShe expressed her appreciation for their relationship, noting that they started out as friends.

“When I met Sean, I had a boyfriend and he was interested in me, but I was like, I have a boyfriend. But we were friends, there was never, nothing disrespectful between me and Sean. We were forced to really, really get to know each other on a friendship level, you know what I mean? And to the point where he even came to my brother’s funeral. We talked to each other on a friendship level throughout my entire relationship.”

The ‘Stay Ready’ singer further explained that years later, they decided to consider the relationship because they were both single at the time.

“It just got to a point where it was like, ‘I’m single, you’re single, we’re in love.’ We actually fell in love as people and then it was like, Okay, let’s, you know, be together. So it’s different because of that friendship. That comes first, we’re friends before anything. We can fight as a friendship.”

Jhené revealed that she considers Sean family because of their long-standing friendship and considers him the love of her life.

“I don’t know what the future holds, but considering my current life, he is LOML,” she told Billboard.

March 2019: Singer sparks breakup talk

Despite their blossoming romance, the musicians have remained tight-lipped about their decision to split. In fact, Jhené sparked the conversation with her comments about a Instagram Post from The Shade Room.

The ‘Above and Beyond’ singer shared a photo of herself in the studio on her Instagram Story at the time, captioning it: “Tonight… 3 new freestyles done. 2019. Just telling the truth. You can’t control me. I feel unusually awake today.”

After one social media user hopped into The Shade Room’s comments section and wrote, “Oh. Big Sean… she’s about to snitch,” Jhené quickly responded to share an update on her and Sean.

“Sean and I are great. I have a lot of love for him. My next album is all freestyle, where I touch on a lot of topics and relationships… past, present, future. I know you all like drama and want to think that everything I do or say is about him, but I go through a lot of other things and situations that I get inspired by when I sit down to write a song. Have a great day,” she writes.

March 2021: Back? Sean & Jhené Aiko Attend the GRAMMY Awards Together

In March 2021, the couple appeared to be getting along well as they walked the Grammy red carpet together.

That year, Big Sean was nominated for Best Rap Performance, while Jhené’s album ‘Chilombo’ was nominated in three different categories.

July 2022: Baby On Board for Singers and Rappers

In July 2022, Jhené decided to come out and show everyone, literally!

The person who revealed that the couple were spotted out and about in Los Angeles with Jhené proudly showing off her baby bump. The outlet later confirmed that they were expecting their first child.

October 2022: Gender reveal

In October 2022, the couple shocked fans when they confirmed the baby’s gender while performing in Los Angeles.

Based on NewsBig Sean held Jhené’s pregnant belly and looked down at the audience and said, “Make some noise for our son.”

November 2022: Musicians welcome first child

In November 2022, the couple received congratulations when they confirmed the birth of their first son, Noah Hasani.

Noah is Sean’s first child and Jhene’s second. She has a 15-year-old daughter, Namiko Love, with by Omarion Older brother O’Ryan.

August 2024: Where is the Ring?

Jhené Aiko and Big Sean are currently making headlines after he surprised fans at a stop on her ‘The Magic Hour’ tour in Los Angeles.

While fans eagerly watched Sean surprise everyone at the concert, a moment between him and Aiko is now going viral. The 12-second clip shows Sean rapping the first verse of the song ‘Beware’ to Jhené.

“…Because you take anything and turn it into everything. Keep my phone on silent since you called, funny right? And I’ve never cheated; I mean, maybe once or twice. But once doesn’t change everything. She asked why I didn’t feel the same…”

When he raps, Jhené seems to made contemptuous gestures towards him. When he came to the lyrics ” There is a ring,” Jhené looked at her hands, turned to him and said, “What ring?” Trying not to laugh, Big Sean walked over to Jhené and touched the hand she offered.
