Top humanitarian official makes call for ceasefire during visit to Gaza City
Muhannad Hadi, who is also Deputy Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, made the call during his visit to Gaza City, where he met with representatives of non-governmental organizations (NGOs). .
The senior official also visited Holy Family Church, where he recorded a video message on the church steps, surrounded by displaced children.
“It goes without saying that churches, mosques, civilians and all civil infrastructure must be protected. They can only be protected when this war is over; with a ceasefire,” he emphasized.

He said displaced youth in Gaza “deserve to return to their homes.” Furthermore, the children sitting with him “are the hope of the future, and without proper education and health care, there will be no bright future,” he added.
