Turn-Based RPG ‘Shogun Showdown’ Coming to Switch Next Month
Goblinz Studio has revealed that its sword-swinging turn-based roguelike game Shogun War will come on Switch on September 5.
We have to say, this game looks great. Developed by Roboatino, Shogun Showdown is no ordinary hack and slash game. Instead, you’ll have to strategize your way through enemies, using a turn-based combat system to move, attack, and hack your way through hordes of enemies.
There are also roguelike and deck building elements (of course) where you can upgrade and change your character’s look so that each playthrough is different from the last in hopes of getting closer to the title’s battle.
It’s all wrapped up in a simple pixel art style that really makes the environments pop — and makes the sprites look especially cute.
You can find a summary of the game’s key features and some screenshots below:
– Turn-based combat where every action counts. Carefully position yourself, build up, and launch attacks at the right time!
– Upgrade attack cells and combine them!
– Learn new skills and build the strongest deck possible before facing the Shogun.
– Rogue-like: death is not the end, but the beginning of your journey towards mastery. As you play, you will unlock new characters, attacks, skills and more!
– Enjoy Japanese inspired setting with pixel art graphics.
Those who like this theme can now try a free demo on eShop Conversion. The full game will be released next month. £12.49.
