United Million Miler Status: Your Guide to Getting Lifetime Benefits

Million Milers received PlusPoints for upgrades based on their lifetime Premier status level. Therefore, Million Milers with Premier Platinum status will receive 40 PlusPoints every January, while those with Premier 1K status will receive 280 PlusPoints every January.

But perhaps the best part of the United Million Miller program is the ability to share your current status with your spouse, significant other or individual residing at your home address. For example, if you are a Millionaire with lifetime Premier Platinum status but currently hold Premier 1K status, you can nominate a qualifying companion who also holds Premier 1K status.

United members with 1 million lifetime miles or more can choose a travel companion or become the travel companion of another Million Miler. How long does it take to achieve United Million Miler status?

  • Platinum Premier for life: 780 flights (about 4,300 flight hours)
  • Lifetime Premier 1K: 1,170 flights (about 6,450 flight hours)
  • Lifetime global service: 1,560 flights (about 8,600 flight hours)
