Video: Yooka-Replaylee side-by-side graphics comparison (Original & Remaster)

I hate that we’re in a place where we’re expected (perhaps, “encouraged” is a better word, I know we have a choice) to buy a 7 year old game again.

It looks better (but I agree, the brightness seems like something you might not like compared to the more moody original look) but that doesn’t warrant a re-release. I guess Playtonic probably needs some cash to make a real sequel and that’s really what it’s for. But it’s hard to understand who this is for – if you loved the original, do you really need to buy it again with slightly better graphics? And if not, do you really believe that this suddenly fixes the problem and makes it a good game?
