What are Disney Cruise AquaDuck, AquaDunk and AquaMouse?
When it comes to kids clubs, onboard services and entertainment, Disney Cruise Line It blows most other mainstream cruise lines out of the water. However, it doesn’t have the same “wow” factor on deck as other brands. On its ships, the main attractions tend to be the pools and water rides, including the AquaDuck, AquaDunk, and AquaMouse.
But what are they and what makes them different? With names that are so similar, it can be hard to tell the difference. Here, I’ll talk about what each attraction entails, what you should know before you go, and which ships you’ll find them on.
What is Disney Cruise Line AquaDuck?
Of Disney’s three water slides, AquaDuck was the first to debut. It opened on Disney Dream in 2011, and the second one a year later when the Disney Fantasy began sailing in 2012.
Named after Donald Duck, the AquaDuck is billed as a “water coaster,” meaning that instead of just jumping into a slide and plunging down multiple levels, you’ll sit on a two-person raft that allows you to sit upright throughout the ride.
During the ride, you’ll descend four decks and go through the ship’s funnel. If you look down through the transparent tube, you’ll see the pool deck and the ocean below. It’s definitely fun, but it may not be as thrilling as some of the other thrilling slides you may have tried. Tip: Go at night for an even more amazing experience with colorful lights.
Passengers must be at least 42 inches tall to ride. To ride alone, you must be at least 54 inches tall and 7 years old. Children under 7 must be accompanied by someone who meets the height requirement of two adults and is at least 14 years old. Passengers are not allowed to wear separates, snorkels, or swim masks on the AquaDuck.
Which Disney ships have AquaDuck?
The AquaDuck roller coaster is available on Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy.
What is the Disney AquaDunk Cruise?
Disney Magic is currently the only ship to feature an AquaDunk. The ship was retrofitted with a waterslide during a major refit in 2013.
Of all the Disney waterslides, AquaDunk is the fastest and most thrilling. It’s a true waterslide in the sense that it doesn’t use rafts. Instead, riders enter a pod at the top of the slide and wait for the floor to drop out from under their feet. When that happens, they’ll plummet down 212 feet of transparent tubes, including a section that takes them 20 feet over the side of the ship, above the open water below.

Which Disney ships have AquaDunk?
The AquaDunk is only available on one of Disney Cruise Line’s ships: the Disney Magic.
What is Disney Cruise AquaMouse?
Disney statement Aqua Mouse was the first amusement park-style attraction at sea (although I disagree that it was of theme park caliber). It debuted in Disney wishes in 2022, taking the brand’s water slides to the next level.
The experience begins with passengers sitting on a two-person raft, which is slowly pulled up the slope on a conveyor belt. During the climb, passengers can watch one of two special animated shows on screens along the walls.
The first show, Scuba Scramble, takes players on an underwater journey as Mickey and Minnie try to set up their own shore excursion company. The second show, Swiss Meltdown, involves a ski trip to a mountain top gone wrong.
Once the cyclist reaches the top, the real fun begins with drops, twists and turns.
Sister ship Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny will offer their own versions of the AquaMouse. Respectively, the ships will have The Curse of the Golden Eggin which Mickey and Minnie are searching for treasure in an ancient temple, and a villain themed show featuring villains from the Disney Animation Archive, including the Queen of Hearts from “Alice in Wonderland”, Scar from “The Lion King” and Chernabog from “Fantasia”.
Which Disney ships have AquaMouse?
Disney Wish features the AquaMouse attraction, along with Disney Treasure. Disney Destiny will also feature a version of this attraction when the ship debuts in 2025.
Does Disney Wonder have water slides?
Yes. However, while the Disney Wonder does have a water slide, it is not one of the line’s trademark Aqua-slides. Instead, it is a fairly standard water slide that is part of the AquaLab children’s water play area. The yellow tube, which opens up to the sky, offers a winding, relaxing ride that is more for kids and teens than thrill seekers.
Note that Twist ‘n’ Spout is also available on the Disney Magic and Disney Fantasy. Cruisers must be at least 38 inches tall to ride. Goggles, masks, and snorkeling gear are not allowed on Twist ‘n’ Spout.
How much does it cost to ride the water slides on a Disney cruise?
All passengers can ride Disney Cruise Line’s waterslides for free.
