What are you playing this weekend? (January 18)

Ollie Reynolds, Staff Writer

I’m currently playing a pretty exciting game for review, so keep an eye out for that soon, but otherwise I’m currently immersed in a game Halo: Approach Run legendary campaigns.

Recent rumors regarding Main collection Coming to Switch 2 really got me in the mood to play the entire series again, so that’s exactly what I’m doing! It’s special, and after years of honing my skills, Legendary seems like the most suitable difficulty for me right now.

Another WAYP, another week of Roads through dawn. Look, it seems like 80 hours! I’m on chapter 5! That’s good progress, right? This quickly became one of my favorite games in the series, even if it had its problems. Van is best main character.

Tales of Graces f Remastered also on the list – I’m excited to review the best combat system in an RPG, and I’ll be playing the whole co-op game too! The thing is, we’ll actually be away most of the weekend, so I probably won’t have much time with Arkride Solutions or Lhants, so stay tuned for more information next week. Maybe.

I was planning on chilling with Disco Elysium all weekend, but the recent reveal of ‘weak Mario’ in the Mario Kart 9 footage made me long for an Italian. This weekend, I’m hooking up the Switch to the living room TV to confront my wife Mario Kart 8 Deluxe And Party superstar Mario. Please pray for me; My queen is lethal on Superstar.

Depending on the results of our group games, I may need some time to soothe my wounds with a single-player game. And because I absolutely love mushroom guys, I’ll be back Mario & Luigi: Brotherly love.

Let’s go!

I am planning to continue my good progress in an exciting life The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. I’m quite fascinated by Blade Chimera and will spend more time doing it. Free space 2 continues to offer one of the best space shooting simulation games despite its age. Donkey Kong Country Returns HD may not be new, but it’s still an incredible entry in the series. It’s time to level up my Assault Marine one last time Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II and begins his new career as a Sniper for the Imperium.

Game of the week is Smuggler’s Run: Warzones. I often revisit the Gamecube’s library, and this is a good time to replay Rockstar’s published classic. Turn up the volume, enjoy the crazy electronic soundtrack and watch pursuing opponents fly into the air after activating one of our counter bombs. It’s (oddly) quite Zen.

This week, I haven’t been able to go to the gym much because of a sick child at home and a busy work schedule, so I’ve been spending some time every night working out. The Adventures of Ring Fit. Sure, it’s not like my usual workouts but 30 minutes in and I’m already sweating a bit. Just enough to keep me from completely abandoning my workout routine.

Who knows – maybe Switch 2 will even give us a sequel.

With the Switch 2 coming soon (!) I’ll be clearing my backlog this weekend/month/year. I have received Apollo Justice: A trio of excellent lawyers at Christmas (after the end Phoenix Wright Trilogy last year) so I will spend a lot of time solving crimes.

If I get tired of screaming Protest! And Take that! I will play Untitled goose game. I finally bought this Australian made gem after putting it on my wish list many years ago. Being a sneaky goose is fun. And it’s even more fun when I recruit my companions to join the co-op mode – two geese are better than one.

Return to the 28thth in December I wrote that I was playing Super Hydrorah. I still go. It was difficult (and also wonderful). I’m trying to get by but am only halfway there – and I’m also grappling with the irony of being so excited about the Switch 2 while spending dozens of hours playing a game that can (I think) run on PlayStation 1.

We just had the Nintendo Switch 2 reveal and I’m really dying to try out those sneakily hinted at mouse controls. It’s going to be an exhausting wait until Live Day on April 2, but truth be told, there’s a huge backlog to clear.

First, I will try out Donkey Kong Country Returns HD and it will be my first time playing this game. I’m a little disappointed by the apparent lack of graphical polish in this HD re-release, but glad that the gameplay arguably holds up well. Those alert enough to pre-order DKCR in my region (Asia) received this nifty “Banana Bag” as a free gift. My wife and I debated whether it was a banana bag or simply a banana-patterned bag. Turns out it fits the whole ‘nanner’ so the answer I wanted to say is clearly the previous one.

Anywhere else I would explode Splatoon 3 this weekend to complete the excellent single-player campaign and the Side Order DLC, neither of which I’ve finished (it’s hard to escape the online turf wars once I start). I also started trying out the GBA classic for the first time Golden Sun on NSO, which I’ve really wanted to try since my schoolyard days when I saw a friend playing it. It’s been a real charmer so far, it’s easy to see why so many people want to reboot the franchise. I honestly wouldn’t rule it out! Wish everyone have fun playing the game.

With the Switch 2 craze in full swing, I think it’s wise to stock up Metroids game ahead of the anticipated arrival of Prime Minister 4. Behind the curve here, but very close to the finish line Metroid’s horrorit’s breathtaking. Samus’s movements are very smooth and flexible. And what is this? Metroid Prime remade Just rummaged through the mailbox!

Elsewhere, I’ve mostly been walking briskly and happily throughout 2020 rotten carcass – characteristics of that organism where you are that organism. And let’s see if Indiana Jones and the Great Circle can grab its fedora under the stone door on the weekend just before it closes!

No video games but a little Arco me this weekend. I will see Wild heartTake a long walk to birdwatch and start a new modeling project.

Have a nice weekend, good friends.
