What are you playing this weekend? (July 20)
Jim Norman, Staff Writer
I had a really great time playing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate this week. My biggest problem with it? It’s not Hell. Yeah, I’m going to play Hades more to remind myself how awesome this game is.
I also have quite a few train trips this weekend and I’ll be bringing my trusty 3DS along for the ride and continuing Link Between Worlds play again. It’s still awesome, even though I have to keep telling myself “you’re not stuck, you just forgot that Merge is a thing”.

I feel like I’m in a sort of ‘video game limbo’ at the moment; just sitting around waiting for something big to come out (no offense, Nintendo World Championships). I’m actually spending a lot of my free time reading books and watching TV shows at the moment. However, when I do have time to pick up the Switch, I find myself diving back into games I never finished the first time around. Final Fantasy X And Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is at the top of the pile, and I suspect the former will take quite a while to complete. However, let’s see how I do!

I can’t stop playing Everafter Falls! It has a nice and addictive loop. There are a lot of things to do. And it was made by a solo developer!!!
I bought a few more games after the Steam sale, as there were smaller, subsequent sales, and I haven’t played them yet. But I’ve heard good things. Planet Maker And treesif you’re interested, but I think they’re only on Steam!

What a classy week! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate avoids Apple Arcade exclusivity to land on the eShop, SCHiM darkness appears in the game, Nintendo World Championship: NES Version turns us into a witch, Satryn DX To be Robots: 2084 the sequel you never knew you needed while Darkest Dungeon II takes the game on the road. I’m not even sure I have time to play GUNDAM BREAKER 4 Open Network Check and two classic PC Engine CD JRPGs Fantasy Universe 1 & 2 first time can play in English.
My game of the week (and it will probably be “Top Gun” for a while to come) is Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown – Deluxe Edition. You’ve read the interview, you’ve read the review, what more is there to say? Kick the tires and light the fire!
That’s what we have planned for the weekend, but what about you? You can let us know what games you’ll be playing in the poll below and then comment to share what’s on your list.
