What are you playing this weekend? (October 19)

Jim Norman, Office Clerk

I’ll mainly be playing through one game for review this weekend, so stay tuned for that next week. However, if I find time for anything else, I think I’ll come back Zelda: The Prophecy of the Seasons. I started it before Echoes of wisdom and had a great time, so it felt right to end it while I was doing the top-down Zelda kick.

After review Kill time: Revive next to RetroRealms: Ash vs Evil Dead And Halloweenall I want to do is keep playing them. This year has been really great for retro revivals and homages, and the spooky feel from all three games fits quite well with the upcoming Halloween celebration.

On PS5, I’m almost done with my first game. Silent Hill 2. I’m staying at the Lakeside Hotel and it’s really been a great experience so far. I can’t wait to see how it ends before returning to the starting point for the next run.

I almost gave up on Echoes of Wisdom after going to Lord Jabu-Jabu and felt they should have named it “Echoes of Bed” because of how much I used that particular item to solve puzzles guess… but a few of my friends convinced me to go back. It’s not the best Zelda game — not even the best Grezzo game — but I’m trying to love it for what it is, rather than what it isn’t.

I also played a lot Core holder. In the mid to late game it definitely becomes an inventory management puzzle, but I’m having a great time with it! Also, I’m participating Hello Kitty Island Adventurebefore the Switch release. That was probably a mistake because I’ll have to start from scratch when it comes out next year, but I’m surprised how much I like it!

Oh, and I downloaded it Pikmin flower. Late to the party, I know…

This week, I want to finish Echoes of Wisdom and move on to something else – GOTY is closer than ever, shaking ripples into my glass of water on the NL console! Recently Aliens: Isolation The announcement of a sequel made me sit down and actually play the game I bought on sale a long time ago, and I’m only a third (maybe) of the way there. Blasphemy 2…but who has time for games that won’t be released in 2024!? Its natsu-mon And Shogun Battle once I have saved Hyrule.

For me this time it comes back to the vibrant streets of Tokyo when I return Royal Persona 5. I got distracted from it after about 30 hours and thought I’d lost the thread, but it was easy to get back into the groove. Meanwhile, some “parenting” time will be spent playing Another Code R: Journey into lost memories. This is a great game to play with the kids because it’s so fun and the puzzles are so easy to make you think. Overall, this is a pretty fun game – haven’t been enticed by any Halloween horror games yet!

This weekend, I was planning on sitting down with something terrible coming up for Halloween! No, I don’t mean that The Walking Dead: Fate – that’s a different kind of terrible. Or rather, I will explode Luigi’s Mansion 3Spread candles around the room, hold a séance, and vacuum some vampires.

October is my favorite time of year, and I often play horror-themed games during the spooky season, along with watching the scariest movies I can find. This weekend, I’ll be pursuing some alternate endings in Faith: The Holy Trinity is not holya retro indie horror gem that I just finished reviewing for Nintendo Life.

I’m also planning on using my 3DS for a new experience Luigi’s MansionThe sad thing is I never finished. The exception to the horror rule would be The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom which I’m still working on. The echo mechanic is great, and I love the combination of top-down Zelda dungeons with the creative freedom of open-world Zelda.

My birthday is coming up this weekend, so I’m gathering with a few friends for what I’m sure will be a very informal and swear-free session of Mario Party shenanigans . Playing multiplayer games with friends, let alone multiple people on the couch, is an extremely rare pleasure for me these days.

So I find it hard to justify the choice Super Mario reunion party on occasion I just booted my respective copies Super Mario party And Party superstar Mario a few times since its release. Well, who knows – the new one looks great and this might be the only chance I get to play it with friends for a long time, so maybe I’ll make it a little gift for myself.

Good things ahead with slaughterer, TRANSFORMERS: Galactic testing, bloodless, join the army and delightful nostalgia UFO Robo Grendizer: Festival of the Wolves. Although there are no friends to play with, the single player section of Super Mario reunion party appears to be quite solid. Progress will continue in Bakeru but a new operation has been launched Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II and the Emperor demanded his due.

Game of the week is Nevada. To overcome GRIS This is no easy feat but from what I’ve played so far, this is yet another work of art driven by a Berlinist soundtrack coupled with incredible art direction. Look at that wolf growing up!

That’s what we have planned for the weekend, what about you? Let us know in the poll below which games you plan to launch in the next few days.
