Siliconera speaks out: The most anticipated JRPG of 2025

Honest? I was eager to go over Suikoden I and II again. I love games and playing Eiyuden Chronicles last year left me longing for the chance to revisit these two extremely solid entries in the series. I mean, I could just grab my PSX discs and pop them in, but playing on the Switch in handheld mode would be even more ideal. — Jenni

Even with highly anticipated JRPGs being announced like Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D remakeMy most anticipated JRPG to date is Legend of Heroes: Beyond the Dawn II. Sure, I can’t wait 1st Sky Trailswill remake one of my all-time favorite JRPGs, but I’ve already played that game. I always want to try new things and Roads Through Dawn II That’s all.

I loved Van and the other members of his ragtag team in the first Calvard title, plus the Republic locations were amazing to explore. However, the original felt a bit short and with a story that felt inferior to everything else, unlike before. Trail game. I hope this sequel fulfills the potential of this story arc. Of course, this is the current information we have right now, so I’m excluding unannounced JRPGs. I hope we see 2025 like a new game NieR or Character 6. — Cody

My most anticipated JRPG for 2025 is also Legend of heroesalthough I’m more interested in 1st Sky Trails. Yes, I’m one of those people who played the original back in the day and then abandoned it because the combat system was a bit slow for my liking. So I never really got into the game nor the series. It would be great to actually participate (especially since I actually own a lot Trail games that I bought on sale but never even started them) and 1st Sky Trails seems like the ultimate starting point. — Stephanie
