What rating would you give to the article Mario: The Thousand-Year Door?

I would give the original an 8-9 because I was quite annoyed with TTYD (overuse of fake death, TEC, linear level design), but the improvements the remake makes overshadow any lingering criticisms. that I have for the game as a whole. It’s hard to emphasize how much all the new details, character animations, and contextual music tracks make the game richer for me, not even mentioning all the QoL improvement. TTYD is still not my favorite Paper Mario, but this remake definitely kicks it up a 10 for me.
