What will you play this weekend? (May 18)

Well, even though I tried my best, I still couldn’t beat it Hollow Knight. In fact, I’m stuck in the very part where I left my last save file – I tell you those pesky Watcher Knights will feel my wrath one day .

I fully intend to play more this weekend and hopefully get a little closer to finishing it off. But every time I look at the Switch eShop, I see it again Animal well looked back at me, tapping the clock that seemed to be counting down to the GOTY selection. I’m trying to ignore it, but I don’t know if I have the strength to hold on much longer. Damn you, your adorable capybara and your ever-watchful eyes!

I’m poring over a game for review, but I wouldn’t mind coming back Tears of the Kingdom. I’m not in the mood to confront Ganondorf just yet, so that will require me to leave his room the moment the load is finished. Still not sure where. Somewhere with lots of greenery, or maybe I’ll pass by some islands in the sky. That game has so much more for me to explore!

After liberating the lands of the Elves, it’s time to turn my attention to the icy wastelands north of Bastiras in The unicorn lord. I forgot that I still needed to deal with the final boss Prince of Persia: The lost crown. As an aviation enthusiast, it’s a shame for Namco Arcade Archives Fighters & Attackers remained a Japanese exclusive, but they would never have been able to afford the licensing fees required to release it in the West. Don’t worry because I’m counting the days until Fighting Ace 7 on the shelf. Wait, is that Super Mario land I discovered NSO? The soundtrack alone begs for quick playback.

Game of the week is Earth Defense Force: Brothers of the World! Yes, I know I’m late to the party and a sequel is about to be released, but it’s never too late for some voxel-related mayhem. The characters are also quite charming… for a series of low poly models, anyway.

I’ve been particularly busy this week but I also downloaded Animal Well. My partner is a big fan of games with lots of secrets, so he finished Animal Well in a week, and now it’s my turn to play while he watches and gives no hints for me. I know that’s a good thing, especially with a game that’s all about discovering things for yourself, but it can be a bit annoying when I really need a nudge. But I have to believe in myself and figure things out! That’s the way (developer) Billy Basso intended.

I’m also trying to figure out how to get over it radioactive fallout 4that was fine, and I bought it Baladina game I’ve been excited about for a long time.

But mostly I was playing a new game for a surprise review (which was a surprise to me anyway) and having a pretty good time. Obviously I can’t say much about it yet, other than the fact that the game reminds me of another game I wasn’t expecting. How cautious I am! I think it will get a good review.

It’s not possible Thousand Year Door, By the way. I’m still excited that that will drop soon. PAPER RRRRR MARIOOOOOOO!
