Which character class do you like best in FFXIV Dawntrail?

Square Enix has dropped Final Fantasy XIV: Dawn Treaderfifth expansion, in early July 2024. We had the opportunity to explore this expansion and max out our classes and jobs to level 100. So, It’s finally time to reveal which class is best. FFXIV Dawn Trail. Note that we based our decision on a number of factors, such as the overall best class out of all the classes in the expansion. Additionally, some of us chose to base our choices on the two new classes, Viper and Pictomancer.

Anyway, if you’re looking to pick up a decent job in Dawntrail, here are the jobs that will treat you well in the current fifth expansion meta. Let us know what your favorite job classes are in this expansion!

I played Final Fantasy XIV for a long time. And I mean a long, long time. I’ve been playing this game for over three thousand days and have tried out a lot of classes—Melee and Ranged DPS, Healers, Tanks. You name it, I’ve probably tried it. And while I was initially eager to commit to the Tank role, I jumped right into Gunbreaker when a bunch of Final Fantasy XII The Judge-inspired armor was released through the Bozja side content. I maxed out my Gunbreaker and decided to put it on The Shadow BearerAnd after that The Last Pedestrian because Tanking is a lot easier than I originally thought. Gunbreaker is my favorite class because it’s pretty dynamic, while not requiring me to do too much in normal content. White Mage used to be my favorite class, but sometimes I just get tired and want to turn my brain off, and Gunbreaker lets me do that. — Kazuma

Are we talking about two specific new jobs? If so, FFXIV Dawntrail’s The best new class for me has to be Pictomancer. Viper is also great on its own. However, Pictomancer provides this interesting middle ground as a powerful magic DPS class like Black Mage. But at the same time, Pictomancer also provides great buffs to the party. It’s also quite fun to use. As for the existing classes, I’m really enjoying playing Sage again. Overall, it hasn’t changed much. However, the new AOE damage over time action with Eukrasian Dyskrasia and other new skills have fixed very few of the issues I had with Sage. — Cody
