Siliconera speaks out: Horror games need a remake or a sequel

I’m a little disgusted to think about it Siren: Blood curse is a remake of the original game because it’s SO different in… well, everything. It’s truly a re-imagining. While a remake is much more faithful Siren would be great, I’m one of those people who believes that if you’re going to play it, you should play the original, horrible, funny version and get a truly unpleasant experience. That’s part of the charm. — Stephanie (1/2)

Alarm siren 2on the other hand, seems to really want to offer some quality of life upgrades. So it would be great to see a proper remake of that movie. Damn, one Siren 3 that’s similar to the first two in terms of gameplay and the writing would be great too. However, that may be difficult because of the main creative team of Siren it seems to be at Deck Game Studio now and I don’t know who has the rights to the IP anymore. — Stephanie (2/2)

I have to agree with Stephanie. Siren should come back. It’s a memorable story and the gameplay is also very unusual and different. You really feel desperate and terrified when you know Shibito is everywhere, you are outnumbered and it will be easy to panic and slip. — Jenni

I’m a wimp when it comes to horror games so I rely mainly on visual novels. Even though it’s not a straight up horror game, I’m still hoping and praying for new games in No escape And danganronpa series. Both have a gentle, distinctive spooky element 999 with the “knocking on the door” part that really startled me when I first played. Both series made me love the visual novel genre and I just had to add them both. This is especially painful for No escape Because I will stand by that side The zero time dilemma The most horrifying part is that the ending is left unfinished and needs a sequel someday. — Cody
