Time trigger In my opinion, there is no doubt that this is the correct answer. However, if I had to choose a game closer to my heart, I think it’s time Xenogears return. While the HD-2D style will be quite different for this PS1 JRPG, it can still pay off well if enough time and effort is spent on it. Back in the day, I spent quite a few hours on the PS1 classic on the PSP but never finished it. I have to throw in Goblin Battle: March of the Black Queen myself. This is the starting point of many strategy role-playing games. Plus, it never really received much love beyond its original 1996 release. Tons of work, strategic gameplay to rival its successors; it works. – John
