Why we’re excited about MSC World America – and you should be too


MSC World America will bring a new world of travel to the Florida coast when it makes its debut in April 2025, and we couldn’t be more excited.

Designed to deliver immersive and enriching experiences at sea, the ship is the first in MSC’s groundbreaking World Class to sail to the Caribbean, where it will offer seven cruises. nights and 14 nights to the Eastern and Western Caribbean. Each cruise will call at MSC Cruises’ private island oasis, Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve in the Bahamas.

But the most interesting thing about this ship isn’t the fun cruises in the sun (which are admittedly quite fun) but what’s on board. As a ship ranked in the top 10 of the largest ships afloat, MSC World America has plenty to offer all travelers, no matter their vacation style.

It’s hard to pick favorites, but if we had to narrow it down, the three things we’re most excited about the arrival of MSC World America are The Harbor, the ship’s new family area (which has many thrilling tour); new and reimagined food and dining concepts; and the largest MSC Yacht Club in the fleet (winner of the 2024 TPG Award for Best VIP Ship in a Ship).

The Harbor serves families like never before

Thrill seekers, The Harbor is calling your name!

If rock walls and basic waterslides have lost their excitement, your heart will start beating fast when you encounter them. Attractive new attractions at MSC World America’s all-new, family-friendly outdoor area.

You’ll find it in Family Aventura, one of seven districts that divide MSC World America into separate public areas. Family Aventura spans the indoor and outdoor sections of the ship’s top deck, and The Harbor is at the center.

The Port’s thrills begin with the Cliffhanger, the first overwater zip line at sea. Powered arms will lift four riders into the air and then out into the ocean, so you’ll float 160 feet above the waves as the ride takes you back and forth.

Once you’ve conquered that challenge, you can overcome any lingering fear of heights on the High Trail Zipline, suspended more than 25 feet above The Harbor. The two-level ropes course spans 6,210 square feet and includes two “Sky Rails,” similar to zip lines. Or test your agility on the climbing wall. For another thrill, scream your way down the Jaw Drop, an 11-storey high spiral dry slide that is one of the longest at sea.

Families with children too young for the thrilling rides have a home at The Light House Playground, a play area featuring a replica lighthouse at Ocean Cay, MSC Cruises’ private island in the Bahamas .

Are you looking to get wet? Aquapark is a place for your family to cool off with 4 water slides, including a 90-degree vertical drop slide.

Keep the group entertained for hours with delicious food and refreshing drinks at The Harbor Bar & Bites, the perfect addition to your fun time at The Harbor.

New and improved dining options offer plenty of options

A ship this big certainly has more restaurants and bars than you can visit in one trip and we’ve been salivating ever since reading about the new and updated information. Food and beverage service on MSC World America.

The ship will have up to 13 restaurants and 20 bars, so you’ll want to start planning your meals now.

We’re excited that some of MSC Cruises’ guest-favorite restaurants are returning on this ship, including Butcher’s Cut Steakhouse, Kaito Sushi and Teppanyaki, and Hola! Tacos & Cantinas. But we can’t wait for the ship’s two new specialty restaurants.

One is Paxos, the first Greek restaurant on a cruise ship for the mass market. It will feature a menu focused on seafood, with four unique areas designed to immerse visitors in the culture of the Greek islands.

But while we’re dreaming of moussaka and lamb kleftiko, we’re also excited about the versatility of this indoor-outdoor space. Guests can enjoy lunch indoors or on the terrace and dinner to mood-setting music. Between meals, you can sit outside to munch on small-plate snacks with a cocktail, or enjoy pre-dinner drinks at Paxos’s rooftop lounge.

Another new option for dinner is Eataly, which will be the Italian food purveyor’s only outpost at sea. The menu will feature a variety of Italian dishes with a mix of the brand’s perennial favorites and some dishes exclusive to MSC World America. This place takes Italian cuisine seriously, with ingredients imported from Italy and pasta made fresh on board. You can even watch chefs create magic at Eataly’s open kitchen.

And of course, MSC Cruises is offering complimentary main meals at four restaurants, not one, but two buffets.

This writer with a sweet tooth is excited about Sweet Temptations, a dessert spot reimagined from the first outpost on sister ship MSC World Europa. This is the place to enjoy scrumptious milkshakes, Venchi gelato, homemade ice cream bars, crepes, waffles, donuts and candy, as well as take holiday photos against colorful backdrops and participate in activities Family friendly activity.

Chocolate lovers will have additional treat options at MSC Cruises’ Jean Philippe Chocolat & Cafe restaurant, and can even create their own chocolate bars inspired by the pastry chef award-winning French sweet and chocolatier Jean-Philippe Maury.

The new All-Stars Sports Bar bridges the gap between food and drink, so sports fans don’t have to miss the big game (or a meal) while cruising at MSC World America. This one-stop stop will have the essential TVs, bar games like darts and soccer for when you’re feeling a competitive edge, and snacks like chicken wings and sliders to keep you fueled during overtime.

The best part? All-Star Sports Bar will feature an outdoor terrace with soothing ocean views for when you just need to rest after an intense set or set.

For another type of entertainment besides drinks, The Loft is an adults-only late-night entertainment spot on the ship. It has it all: comedy acts, karaoke nights and dueling piano shows.

And when you just need a treat, Coffee Emporium is a coffee shop concept that takes visitors on a caffeinated trip around the world with beans and brewing techniques from places like France , Italy, Türkiye and Morocco. The ship will also feature a gin bar, mixology bar and English pub complete with an on-board microbrewery.

The award-winning MSC Yacht Club will be the line’s largest and most luxurious club

MSC Cruises was one of the first cruise lines to develop the modern ship-within-a-ship concept. the MSC Yacht Club is an exclusive private sanctuary accessible only by keycard to guests booking an MSC Yacht Club room or suite. We’re such fans that we gave the Yacht Club the TPG Award for Best VIP on a Ship.

If that sounds flashy, wait for the Yacht Club on MSC World America. This will be the largest and most luxurious of all MSC Cruises ships.

Who wouldn’t be excited about that – especially when it means you can enjoy all the bustling activity of a super train and then retreat to a more intimate setting when you need a moment of calm? static?

This Yacht Club will feature more spacious venues than previous ships, including a two-story sundeck with bar and grill downstairs as well as a pool, hot tub and private cabanas upstairs above. Don’t feel like moving away from the sun lounger? You can order food from the bar or grill to have it delivered right to you.

Yacht Club guests also have exclusive access to the luxurious Top Sail Lounge and Yacht Club Restaurant to enjoy fine dining.

One of the great things about MSC Yacht Club is that its affiliated suites come in all sizes and types. But for the ultimate stay, choose the Owner’s Suite, which offers a separate bedroom and living/dining room, along with a spacious balcony with a private hot tub and outdoor dining table. Or perhaps you prefer a Duplex Suite with an upstairs master bedroom and two private sundecks.

Yacht Club guests here not only benefit from a relaxing space away from the crowds. They also get perks, such as 24-hour butler and concierge service; Complimentary premium beverages, Wi-Fi access and thermal spa; and priority boarding and disembarking. And on MSC Cruises’ private island Ocean Cay, Yacht Club guests will enjoy the exclusivity of Ocean House, a private beach club with cabanas, complimentary amenities and private oceanfront dining .

Sailing MSC World America

When MSC World America Launching in April 2025, it will go on rotation Eastern and Western Caribbean cruise from Miami, taking travelers to destinations filled with sun, sand and surf.

The seven-night Eastern Caribbean itinerary will include visits to San Juan, Puerto Rico; Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; and Ocean Cay MSC Marine Sanctuary, Bahamas. The seven-night Western Caribbean itinerary will visit Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico; Roatan, Honduras; and Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve.

That means visitors will have three days to enjoy all the destination-based attractions, from beaches and water sports to historical and cultural attractions, but also three full days. complete to explore all that American World has to offer. FOMO will be real, but three days will give you enough time to try the restaurants of your first choice, explore all the fun spaces on board, and soak in the many pools and hot tubs as well as attending various performances.
