Wildflower iPhone Cases Are Perfect for Clumsy People
On the front, it protects the screen really well—so much so that I stopped using a screen protector. It wasn’t an easy decision. But I was fed up with all the dust along the edges and the occasional unresponsive screen. Shortly after I took the case off and removed the screen protector, I dropped the phone on the sidewalk. My boyfriend and I looked at each other in horror as I picked it up off the concrete. Not only was the screen intact, but so was the case—no dents or scratches.
This has not been my experience with other cases. Whenever I have dropped my phone in the past, the screen protector has either cracked completely or the case has taken the brunt of the fall. I know that is a problem, but after enough damage, the case looks so bad that I have no choice but to replace it. I dropped it much many times since then with the Wildflower case, and you would never have known.
A few small requests
I like the Wildflower case, but like everything else, there’s always room for improvement. First, I wish the case supported MagSafe. Charging technology has been around since 2020, and most brands have updated all their cases to include it, so it’s a shame Wildflower didn’t. The cases are thin enough that you can still attach some MagSafe accessories to them—I can still attach MagSafe iPhone Wallet securely to the back of the iPhone 15 Pro. But this hack doesn’t work with the iPhone 14 Pro Max, especially when trying to attach it to Casetify MagSafe Car Mount.
To solve this problem, Wildflower offers MagSafe Magnetic Ring ($12 for 3). I bought these when I was using a larger iPhone. They work well and are as sturdy as cases with built-in MagSafe support—the ring holds securely on both wallets and car mounts. I don’t find them the most aesthetically pleasing. But I use a lot of MagSafe accessories and it’s much more convenient than having to take a case off and on.
Speaking of aesthetics, my other request is for Wildflower to change the color of the panels to match the design of the case, especially since the panels are so striking. Right now, they’re all black, which doesn’t look great with the fun prints. Panels are part of the brand’s signature look, but it would be nice to see the company have a little fun with them.
My final plea is for Wildflower to expand its cases to the Android phone world as well. The company makes cases for Apple’s entire lineup, including iPhones, AirPods, iPads, and Airtags. But it would be nice to see the product line expand, with more products across different smartphone brands.
Regardless, I highly recommend these cases to anyone who owns an iPhone and is also incredibly irresponsible when it comes to taking care of their phone. If you (like me) find yourself constantly finding yourself with your phone falling out of your hands, the Wildflower case is definitely your best bet—especially if you want to make fewer trips to the Apple Store.
