Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition Confirmed for Switch
Nintendo announced that Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition will launch on Nintendo Switch on March 20, 2025.
Boasting updated visuals and additional content, the release will mark the final port or re-release for Xenoblade franchise on Switch, meaning the entire series is now playable on one console. The original launched on Wii U in 2015 and was highly regarded by fans as a strong spin-off to the main series.
Here are the official details from Nintendo…
Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition Put your character at the center of the action in a standalone sci-fi story. Customize your avatar’s appearance and class to your liking and choose from a variety of options in a comprehensive combat system that’s as deep as you want. Once you’ve proven yourself to the BLADE organization, you can also unlock the powerful Skell: massive, customizable mechs adept at exploration and combat to aid you in your adventures all over Mira.
While working on the reconstruction effort, you’ll get to know the people of the NLA, help them solve problems, and build relationships with your team members to unlock missions containing equipment rarities and other rewards to earn. Plus, join an online squad* and take on exclusive multiplayer missions, including ultra-challenging global Nemesis Battles! You can even recruit other players’ avatars to your team in the main story.
We’ll be watching for more information in the coming months, but suffice it to say we’re excited to see such a great sleeper title get new life on the Nintendo Switch.
