You Can Buy FuelRods at a Huge Discount During Amazon Prime Day

Amazon Prime Day It’s that time of year again, and it’s a great time to hunt for discounts on things you’ll use throughout the year.

Sure, buying big-ticket items like luggage and tech gadgets is a great idea, but you don’t want to overlook small, easily forgotten items like FuelRods portable chargers. If you planning a trip to Disney World or Disneyland (or many other places where you can easily change them, including airports), you might want to buy a FuelRod.

FuelRods certainly aren’t the best external power source, but they’re compact and really easy to use in places where you can swap them for free, like Disney.

FuelRods cost $30 each in the park, but right now you can get a two-pack for $27.99 thanks to Amazon Prime Day. Paying around $14 each (instead of $30 each in the park) isn’t exactly a bargain.

FuelRods are useful when visiting amusement parks — you’ll need a power source to charge your phone, check ride wait times, order food, and make reservations. Lightning RoadThere are plenty of portable chargers on the market that you can buy and bring with you, but when you’re at Disney, the FuelRod is an easy solution that doesn’t require much setup or extra weight to carry.

You can redeem these pocket battery boosters at machines throughout the park. Once you purchase a FuelRod, you can redeem it for free at Disney anytime you want. Drop the depleted battery into the machine, and a fully charged one will pop out.

Each FuelRod typically provides a few hours of charge time, so a pack of two is a great option to buy and keep in your bag as a backup, in case you forget to bring a more powerful external battery or if your battery runs out of power.

While you can redeem FuelRods for free at machines throughout the Disney parks, they cost $3 at Universal Studios. That makes them a little less appealing to use there.
