Ys X: Nordics is coming to Switch in the West this October
It may seem like it’s been a long time coming, but NIS America announced today that Ys X: Northern Europe will finally launch in the West on Switch October 25, 2024.
This happened about a year after the last entry in Have The series debuted in Japan last September, but we’re excited to finally see it in our hands.
Ys X: Nordics will put you in the shoes of two heroes, Adol and Karja, on a quest to save Obelia Bay from an impending civil war. Some stunning visuals accompany this storyline and for the first time in the series, you’ll be able to set sail with some seafaring exploration and combat. Oh oh!
Here’s an official rundown of the game’s features and some screenshots from NIS America.
● Two heroes, one story: Bound by unexpected circumstances, young adventurer Adol and Norman pirate Karja must work together to decide the fate of Obelia Bay and its people.
● Cross action system: Switch between controlling Adol and Karja independently or together. Combine their unique powers to defeat enemies and build up the Vengeance Gauge to unleash devastating attacks.
● Power of Mana: Use Mana’s unique abilities to overcome challenges. Grapple and slide through dungeons, destroy obstacles, create new platforms, and discover hidden treasures and key points.
● Sailor’s Joy: The sailing ship known as Sandras takes your exploration to the next level. Sea travel, naval battles and exploring uncharted islands are all possible with this seafaring ship.
Limited edition physical copies of the game are now available through the NIS America store for $104.99 (or your regional equivalent). These bundles include a copy of the game, soundtrack, mini art book, “crossbody bag,” and more—what a great way to see the Western debut, right?
