Zaku Zeon’s goggles will include a Zaku head-shaped case
private day unveils a new collaborative eyewear collection inspired by the Principality of Zeon from Mobile SuitGundam. The product line will include glasses and sunglasses in the following colors Char Aznable and Zaku II. However, the brand also revealed that they will be producing custom 1/7 scale heads of Char Aznable’s Zaku II, which can also function as a unique glasses case.
The case will simulate the functions of the Zaku II head. It will include a commander’s antenna that the owner can freely remove and a lighted and moveable monocular camera. When both layers are opened, it reveals a box that can hold up to four pairs of glasses. Promotion webpage also includes a QR code that people around the world can scan with their mobile devices to create an AR model of the head.
The large box will be sold separately for ￥49,500 (~$318). Owndays also offers packages that include extra pairs of glasses and sunglasses. The ‘Char’ Collection with red glasses and the ‘Zeon’ Collection colored in the khaki color of the regular Zaku II will be priced at 63,450 Yen (~$407.35). The complete ‘Perfect’ collection will include all four pieces for a total value of 82,350 Yen (~$528.65).

Those who cannot afford the expensive Zaku head case can also choose to buy it only glasses with regular Zeon branded cases at a more affordable price. The glasses will retail for ¥13,000 (~$83.50), while the sunglasses will be priced even lower at ¥8,000 (~$51.35).
There have been many unique merch releases following the following themes Gundam franchise, especially the Universal Century titles featuring Amuro Ray and Char Aznable. In early 2024, Bandai revealed brackets and acrylic panels of the Universal Century faction and the pilot logo can glow in the dark. It has also released mechanical bust by Sazabi from Char’s counterattack via Gashapon.
Public sale for Mobile SuitGundam-The Principality of Zeon-themed Zeon glasses and Char Aznable’s Zaku II headgear case will open on May 17, 2024. However, pre-orders for these items are also available immediately and Owndays may end the sale earlier if out of stock.
