Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom Details Longtime Recurring Character Roles
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom will feature all sorts of familiar faces, and Nintendo recently detailed one of the series’ most iconic recurring characters, a character that has been around for over two decades. Warning, may ssaboteurs ahead…
That’s right, after the warning, the character we’re talking about here is Dampé, who originally started his career as a cemetery keeper. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Since then, he has appeared in many other Zelda titles including the remake on Switch Link’s Awakening – where he was responsible for the fabrication of the rooms.
It looks like in the new Zelda adventure, Dampé will play an engineer who can build Automatons. These are clockwork-like creatures that can unleash their own “unique effects” on the game world. Here’s the returning character in all his glory:
“The Automatons created by engineer Dampé will unleash their own unique effects after Zelda winds them up!”
Along with the Automatons, Zelda can also enlist the help of the Tri (a mysterious fairy) and the Tri Rod can be used to create echoes (copies of objects, enemies, and other items located in the game environment) to solve puzzles, defeat enemies, and overcome obstacles. This item can also be used to tie things together.
