Hello Proxies! Greetings from the Zenless Zone Zero development team. I’m Zhenyu Li, producer of Zenless Zone Zero. After four years of development, three rounds of closed beta testing, and countless improvements, I’m so excited that Zenless Zone Zero officially launches on July 4th on PS5! By the way, I want to share with you the latest game content in this blog post.

Engaging story with unique characters

Zenless Zone Zero is a new urban fantasy action RPG from Hoyoverse, in which a catastrophe called the Hollows – anomalous spherical dimensions that appear out of nowhere and devour everything they touch – destroys modern society. New Eridu, the last surviving metropolis, has risen against the odds in the midst of this devastating disaster and become the remnants of modern civilization. In the game, players take on the role of Proxy, alongside unique characters to explore the Hollows, fight enemies, complete quests, and uncover the mysteries behind New Eridu.

Despite its post-apocalyptic setting, the world of Zenless Zone Zero is filled with engaging stories and dynamic characters. After encountering the Cunning Hares employment agency and the formidable Belobog Heavy Industries conglomerate in the early chapters, you can unlock Chapter 2 Interlude and Chapter 3 of the main story, in which Officer Zhu Yuan makes his official debut and the members of Victoria Housekeeping reveal their true nature.

Additionally, new characters Lucy and Piper from a faction in the outer rim of New Eridu called the Sons of Calydon are also ready to join you in exploring the terrifying Hollows as playable spies Okay. Furthermore, many newly designed Bangboos are under your command as companions with unique abilities in battle.

In previous playtests, you may have seen Sixth Street, which is actually just a small part of New Eridu. In the global launch, Lumina Square, New Eridu’s bustling commercial district, is ready for Proxy’s exploration. Walking around the city, you will find adorable Bangboos in need of rescue, cargo trucks hidden in corners with many rewards and surprises waiting.

As the adventure begins, the legendary Proxy named Phaethon has also expanded the second floor of the Random Play video store, where you can rest in bed, play music or customize photo walls to capture memories precious throughout the journey.

Dynamic combat system

Catering to both new players and veterans of the action genre, Zenless Zone Zero strikes a balance between accessibility and complexity. The fusion of combat mechanics including Chain Attack, Perfect Support, character switching, etc., gives players the opportunity to unleash their creativity and immerse themselves in fast-paced battles.

To cater to different player preferences, the newly implemented Combat Commission allows combat-focused Proxies to jump in and start a fight right away. Meanwhile, action-minded players can further hone their combat skills in combat challenges like Hollow Zero and Shiyu Defense – find Scott Outpost, which overlooks the largest and most influential Hollow in New Eridu, to access them.

To celebrate the achievement of reaching 40 million global registrations and the official launch of the game, we have prepared a variety of in-game rewards including up to 1600 Polychromes, 90 Master Tapes, 20 Encrypted Master Tapes, and 85 Boopons for global players. You can get all the rewards by advancing your in-game progress, participating in global launch activities, and experiencing various limited-time in-game events including Friendship Supervision and Watch Your Step.
