Chennedy Carter refused to answer questions about Caitlin Clark


Chenny Carter refused to answer questions about Caitlin Clark in a post-match interview after committing a serious foul.

Yahoo! Sports reports that the Chicago Sky defenseman shoulder-checked Clark to the ground during a game on Saturday (June 1).

What exactly happened before the hard foul?

The incident occurred during the third period of the match. Carter took the shot and Aliyah Boston waited to throw the ball inside to Clark. Number 7. Replays of the game show Carter shouting a few words before shoulder-checking Caitlin, causing her to fall to the ground.

The shot was ruled a personal foul with no review, and Caitlin was awarded a free throw. She completed the basket, ultimately leading to a 71-70 win over the Sky.

Even though the Indiana Fever won, head coach Christie Sides still plans to ask the league to review the game, according to Yahoo! Sports.

Carter, who scored a team-high 19 points, declined reporters’ questions about Caitlin.

How did Chennedy Carter react to the incident?

When asked about Clark, number 7 said, “The next question.” Later in the interview, she was asked again about the incident but she refused to comment.

“I won’t answer any of Caitlin Clark’s questions,” Chennedy stated.

She was then asked what Caitlin said and Carter claimed she didn’t. “Know what she said.” Additionally, she was asked if she said anything to Caitlin and Carter replied: “I did not say anything.”

Chicago Sky coach Teresa Weatherspoon interrupted and said, “That’s enough,” stop communicating. She stated, “All they are doing is competing.”

However, when Clark was asked about the beating she received from Chennedy, she gave the answer that, “It’s a physical game. Take the free throw and then commit the foul.”

As reported by Shade roomClark previously said she was receiving it “very drunk” on the field by her opponents. Additionally, she claimed that the tournament refs had allowed her competitors to lose “[get] how to solve things.”

“It’s tough but that’s just the truth of the matter,” said Caitlin. This is a physical game and you will be under pressure, this is professional basketball.”
