The Club at SAN’s Chase Sapphire Lounge is located in Terminal 2 West, between gates 46 and 47. The entrance is across from Starbucks.

All gates in Terminal 2 are connected to the airport, so as long as you’re not flying on Frontier Airlines, Spirit Airlines, Southwest Airlines or Sun Country Airlines, you can access the lounge before departure without No need to re-check security. (The above mentioned airlines operate from SAN Terminal 1, which is only securely connected to Terminal 2.)

Once you’ve located the entrance, you’ll need to take the elevator or stairs up to the mezzanine, where you’ll find the translucent blue doors that mark the formal entrance to the lounge.

The space is open daily from 5am to 10pm

As soon as you enter the new space, you’ll see a familiar color scheme and design elements that mimic the rest of the Sapphire Lounge network.

From the colorful artwork to the wood floors to the wooden room dividers, this space is definitely a Sapphire Lounge.

That said, Chase has certainly infused a local flair into this space, with the living room’s focal piece of art on display for everyone to see immediately upon entering.

This colorful surfboard mural fits San Diego perfectly and creates a sense of place for visitors passing through SAN.

Once you enter the lounge, you’ll walk straight past reception to the dimly lit and moody main bar and dining area. The wraparound bar is the largest Chase has built and is sure to be a popular gathering and socializing area when the lounge opens.

There are several bench-style dining tables lined up along the wall.

The main dining area has free-standing four-top tables.

The room adjacent to the dining area – complete with eye-catching lighting – has even more tables for dining or relaxing.

Once through the main dining area, you can move in two directions. If you head straight to the back of the living room, you’ll find another large relaxation room furnished with couches, recliners, and a faux fireplace that serves as its centerpiece.

Opposite this relaxation area are three productivity zones mounted directly to the wall – a nice touch for those trying to get some last-minute work done.

If you’re taking a call, you’ll want to head straight to the waiting room’s only phone booth, located right next to the work area.

As you move deeper into the lounge, you’ll find the space’s amenities — more on that below.

Instead, if you go from the dining room and turn left back to the living room entrance, you’ll find two more lounging areas.

The first is accented by a palm tree that serves as a fitting local landmark. This open space is mainly furnished with comfortable couches and chairs to promote relaxation.

Meanwhile, if you continue straight behind the concourse, you’ll find the “Balboa Promenade,” named after San Diego’s Balboa Park. This room is like a California-inspired home library and this is where you’ll see me posting next time I’m in the living room.

Interestingly, the Balboa passage can be separated from the rest of the living room by sliding frosted glass doors. Chase does not intend to separate this space from the start, but it could be used later if the issuer contracts with an international airline that wants to provide dedicated lounge space at SAN for passengers its high level.

Chase’s first digital wall, displaying stunning drone footage of the San Diego coastline, is located in the hallway connecting the rest of the concourse to the Balboa walkway.

Overall, this lounge is unmistakably Southern California.

Even better, this space will also be popular with aviation enthusiasts as the floor-to-ceiling windows surrounding the perimeter of the concourse provide great views of the apron and runway areas.

The space is nearly 11,000 square feet and has enough room for nearly 200 flyers. While that may not be enough to meet peak demand, the partition design will make the waiting room feel less crowded than it actually is.

All of Chase’s lounges have above-average dining options, and this location is no exception.

The lounge serves a full breakfast buffet until 11am, then switches to all-day fare. From French crepes to burgers and parfait bowls to hummus and pita, you’ll likely find something delicious on the buffet.

If you want more nutritious dishes, you can also order items from the web portal. Chase is partnering with Oscar’s Mexican Seafood in San Diego to create several specialty dishes, such as chicken tostada and potato soup with shrimp, available in addition to staples like the Sapphire Burger.

Plus, the bar can mix up your favorite cocktail or pour one of San Diego’s signatures, like the bourbon- and gin-based Queen of Rum Row – all served complimentary .

For those wanting to rehydrate, there are two large drink stations, one near the buffet and one near the entrance next to the surfboards.

Both offer a variety of waters, coffee from California’s Groundwork Coffee, espresso makers and mini-fridges stocked with popular beverages, such as electrolyte drinks from Spindrift and Leisure Hydration.

With seven lounges operating in just over two years and three more confirmed in the pipeline, Chase is making a big splash attracting travelers to carry its top credit cards. me.
