Many visitors are disappointed about the price increase of this award. But partnerships will likely get more incentives as online bookings become available, and that could force — or at least encourage — increased reward rates. We have seen high award rates with many similar hotel partners, including how you can exchange Hyatt points for some Mr & Mrs Smith properties.

I have considered redeem 55,000 Choice points per night for Noku Maldives, but this hotel is no longer bookable through the Preferred Hotels & Resorts partnership. So, given the current list of properties and their award prices, I don’t expect to redeem Choice points for any of the Preferred Hotels & Resorts.

Instead, I’ll continue to get great value when redeeming Choice points for stays in Japan at rates ranging from 8,000 to 12,000 points per night, and expensive destinations have award costs of up to 35,000 points per night. After all, awards nights at Choice Hotels still cost between 6,000 and 35,000 points in most of the world (except Asia Pacific, where awards nights cost up to 75,000 points). . I will also follow Choice Hotels Sweet Spot Rewards assets and Choose experience perksas both are good ways to get solid value when redeeming Choice Points.
