What are points and miles worth? TPG June 2024 valuation


One of the questions people often ask us is “How much is a point or a mile worth?”

The answer really varies from spot to spot and person to person. It also depends on your travel goals and how much you max out a particular loyalty currency. There are still some left credit card rewards are more valuable than others, and our goal is to help you understand how they stack up against each other.

Historically, TPG priced points and miles based on a combination of factors: the price at which we would purchase the miles, the cost of rewards within the program (including availability and fees), and Our expert knowledge of the internal workings of the program. But now we use extensive data on the top six US airline loyalty programs to more accurately estimate the value you should aim to get from your rewards.
