Yuji Horii shares Dragon Quest XII update


in one social media postsYuji Horii commented on the condition of Dragon Quest XII. He believes the latest installment of the long-running franchise will aim to honor the memory and legacy of those who worked on the first game.

The Dragon quest PR Horii comments as one announces that May 26, 2024 is the 38th anniversary of the first Dragon quest liberate, release, free. It is also considered Dragon Quest Day in Japan. The post includes screenshots of the first game as well as noting that the game popularized the RPG genre in Japan.

Here is Yuji Horii’s tweet that he shared as a reply quote:

Thank you to the many people who congratulated us on this important milestone. I’m sure everyone is worried about Dragon Quest XII right now, but to be honest, I just had a meeting about it. I still can’t provide many details, but I believe it will be a fitting tribute to the two people who have passed away. I will try my best!

The “two people who passed away” in Horii’s message could be Akira Toriyama and Koichi Sugiyama. They, along with Horii, were the creators Dragon quest together. Akira Toriyama is the character designer and author Dr. Slump And Dragon ball. He passed away on the day March 1, 2024. Koichi Sugiyama is the music composer for the series. He passed away on the day September 30, 2021. Both Toriyama and Sugiyama are working on this upcoming project. Dragon quest game until they die.
