Game Freak launches a new mobile game, but it’s not Pokémon

Developer Game Freak is known for participating in outside projects Pokémon franchise, producing excellent products Pocket card player And Small town heroand now it just launched a new mobile game called Pand land (Thank, siliconera). If you remember, The company has filed a trademark application for the title at the beginning of the year, but we weren’t too sure about that at the time.

While there’s no word on a worldwide release at the time of writing, Pand Land is available via Android and iOS in Japan. Described as a casual sea adventure RPG, you travel across the lands with your crew to collect various treasures. Boasting some pretty captivating voxel-based visuals, you’ll also explore dangerous dungeons and can tackle the game on your own or with friends.

Speech passed official announcement From Wonder Planet contributor, Yuji Saito, Director of Development 1 at Game Freak, said: “We’ve worked hard to create a game that has the scale of a console game and helps play easy and simple. It was a difficult challenge for us alone, but by borrowing the help of Wonder Planet, which has a proven track record in mobile gaming, we were able to bring issue this announcement.”

It seems completely different from what we’re used to seeing from Game Freak, but the studio has always proven its ability to not get bogged down by the Pokémon franchise. Hopefully Pand Land will be released worldwide in the near future – we’d love to try it out.
