WhatsApp is going through some changes over the past few months with new features and updates. Now, the Meta-owned app has announced a complete design revamp with new color scheme, icons, tools, etc. WhatsApp’s new user interface will come to both Android and iOS devices. New WhatsApp design
According to Meta Blog, the company is refreshing its WhatsApp mobile app with a new user interface. “We mainly focused on adding utility to the app,” Meta said. As the product continues to evolve in terms of functionality, the design needs to evolve as well.” There are some changes to the app like new color scheme, icons and illustrations, navigation etc. If you are worried about the green color then it hasn’t gone away but has a fresh tone, making the app look intuitive.
WhatsApp design changes
- New color palette: The blog highlights that the design team considered more than 35 different colors. While green isn’t going anywhere, you may notice that green has been used more than before in some parts of the app.
- New icons and illustrations: WhatsApp has introduced new icons with a more rounded and contoured style. Furthermore, it includes more animations and changes in the original default background.
- Navigation improvements: For better accessibility, Meta has introduced a new modern bottom navigation bar for Android devices. And for iOS users, there’s a new attachment layout for sending photos and videos.
- Chat management: WhatsApp now includes new organizational tools like chat filters. Users also have a tab to select unread or group chats.
